FIRPA’s working groups bring together insider risk practitioners to collaborate on advancing thought leadership, research, and development in the field. These selective groups offer a unique opportunity to contribute expertise, engage in meaningful discussions, and shape best practices within the community.
Each working group is coordinated by FIRPA and comprises 10-12 practitioners from the USA, Canada, and Australia. These members participate in regular virtual meetups and engage in asynchronous research and development, driving continuous knowledge exchange and progress. With a focus on both collaborative and independent work, these groups help shape key FIRPA outputs, including reports, playbooks, and training programs, ensuring they reflect the latest insights and practical needs of the field.

The Governance working group focuses on building robust governance frameworks that support insider risk programs. Program Management best practice
The Insider Risk Best Practice working group is dedicated to defining and refining best practices for insider risk management. Technical Tools and INDICATORS
The Tools, Techniques, and Indicators working group explores the latest methodologies and technologies for insider risk detection and management. This group examines effective tools, behavioural indicators, and investigative techniques to equip practitioners with cutting-edge resources for identifying, assessing, and mitigating insider threats.
